How long is a Wind Prepaid SIM-Card valid?
Every time you recharge your airtime credit, the validity of your SIM-Card is extended by another 12 months.If your airtime credit is non recharged at least once every 12 months, the SIM-Card expires.

How can I recharge my airtime credit?
You can easily recharge your airtime credit in Italy in several shops, like tobacconists, newsstand, lottery-shop, gas-station, Bar, etc. Just ask for a "Ricarica Wind". You either get a scratch card, where you have to call a toll-free number and insert the recharge code you find on the card or, if the shop has a p.o.s terminal, they will recharge your airtime credit for you. In this case, you have to ask for a "Ricarica Wind" for your number. For example: if you would like to recharge 25 Euros, you just ask "una Ricarica Wind da 25 Euro per il numero "yourwindnumber". The airtime credit will be recharged immediately.

How long are data-options valid?
Data-options are valid for 30 days and are extended automatically if not deactivated. If no airtime credit is left, the data-option will be put in stand-by and will be reactivated as soon as you recharge your airtime credit.

How are Wind data-options activated and deactivated?
You will receive a detailed set of instructions after ordering the SIM-Card.

How do I pay for the data-option?
The amount to activate your data option will be deducted from your airtime credit. To activate a data-option, you must have at least 50 Cent airtime credit left. Example: if you want to activate the data option "Mega Ore" (price: € 19), you need to have at least € 19.50 airtime credit available.

Can I activate and deactivate data options outside Italy?
Yes, but in this case the SMS costs 50 cent (in Italy it's free)

Are data options valid outside Italy
No: outside Italy, both voice and data traffic will be charged with roaming fees

What kind of mobile phone is supported?
All GSM and UMTS mobile phones with no SIM lock that operate in the 900/1800 MHz frequency. U.S.A and Canada customers should have a Tri or Quad band phone. CDMA phones are NOT supported.

What kind of hardware/software do I need to establish an UMTS-GPRS connection?
Basically, you can use every UMTS handset or modem, as far as they are not SIM-locked. Please test your hardware on conflicts before departure. If you need technical support, please send us an email with following information: operating system, modem or handset brand and model, your provider, your connection software and, if available, a screenshot of the error message.

How can I configure the connection?
Please send us an email. You will receive immediatelly a complete and easy instruction.

What happens if I use all of my data package?
The data in excess will be charged with the standard rate. If you choose the data options Mega 1500, Mega No Limit or Mega 15.000 the standard rate is € 3/MB For the data options Mega Ore and Mega 100 Ore, the standard rate is € 2/ Std. in 15 min. units.

How can I check the remaining airtime credit and the available data contingent?
Please send the SMS with text SALDO to the 4155.

I don't speak italian. Can I change the language of the voice menu
Yes: just call the 4242 (in Italy) and then select the option 6. You can choose between Italian and English.
